  • Spatial data will be added to existing databases
  • There will be support for virtual realities
  • There will be more data to manage

Is the universal information appliance more likely to come from a cell phone company (e.g., Nokia or Ericsson), a PDA firm (e.g., Palm or Handspring), or someone else?

There is likely to be a convergence from both sides, but it is difficult to determine who will win. My bet is on the phone companies because they currently have more customers.
